Just bought a 86 VFR 750 and found it has a universal PepBoys style car fuel pump. Bike runs great with it. Don't mess with a running bike or find the right part?

Back when i had an 86 750, the stock fuel pump died. It was a quick and easy replacement. I just bought a honda unit and called it a day. If the bike is running, leave it alone i guess. It would be on my list of things to change eventually though. I saw the photo of your bike in another thread, so i know you have more pressing issues right now.

I say leave it for now, but switch back to honda later when you get her roadworthy.

The pic is actually worse than it is, I had a bunch of stuff stripped off ....the only plastic I'm missing now is the rear section with the tail light. Got the Kerker exhaust for $125 a seat for $10 and the left side plastic for $8. The brakes are good ...tires fair.

Even hough the fuel pump seems to work fine its one of those things that sits in the back of your head
