I have a 1985 vf700r interceptor that was rescued from a fate of sitting with weeds growing up through it. I just finished removing, cleaning, and re-installing the carbs . the bike was filthy and I have had to dis-assemble alot of it just to get it clean. this site was an immense help in the removal of the carb rack. and as stated, replacing it was even more of a bitch. now that I have them installed I notice a hose coming off the rear fuel rail, next to the one from the fuel tank, isnt connected to anything. it is shaped like a horseshoe and leads under the carbs. is that right?

NOT sure, but it sounds like the vent hose......not connected to anything, must be open to air.

The bike was probably junked for good reasons, like a fractured transmission or engine.

Good luck, hope this project won't break your heart or bank acccount.
