    Hey,
New to the forum, bought an 85 Interceptor for $800 a few months ago after riding vintage 70's and 60's bikes for a few years, totally opened up my riding experience and I love this bike. The starter cranked it's last crank about a month ago so I brought it into my little studio third floor in Brooklyn to give it some love, rebuilt the starter (charred toast on the brush end) and rebuilt the front forks as well as stripping and restoring the exhaust and polishing out the stainless F1 cans. Carbs look very crusty and the bike would occasionally have flooding issues and refuse to start. So I decided to pull them for a rebuild and impatiently pulled the intake collector before removing the carbs and broke the fuel inlet plastic tee fitting trying to yank the carbs out. Couldn't find anything on Ebay except for a $60 set of aluminum ones...very cool but not sure I want to pay that right now... anyone have any spares they could part with for a good deal?

We only have a couple of rules around here.....one is more of a law really..... a picture of said motorcycle is rule one........ the other rule (federal law I believe) never ever never take the manifold off the carbs.

After scanning the forum I see this is a problem...found a set on ebay for a 1/3 of the aluminum price but I think I'm going to go for the aluminum. Also some one use brass barb fittings and hoses but decided not to run them anybody get away with doing this and consider it reliable?

I've been wondering on/off if there was a way to switch these to AN fittings, but I'm guessing not. Honestly, given the work involved, the $60 for the aluminum ones isn't bad. If you had to have someone make them for you, it'd be at least that. I'm glad people are finally making these replacements.
