I recently purchased "back" my old Interceptor from a friend who unfortuneately did not ride it very often so of course the gas gunked up the carbs. I managed to tinker with it and get it "running" but the slow idling was almost non-existent. Sooooo, I took off the carbs, keeping them bracketed together as to not create more issued for myself, removed and thoroughly cleaned with cleaner and a strand of wire, each main idle jet and slow idle jet..then I put everything back together...finally, geez...
so I tried to crank the bike but with no success..fuel to the carbs is present based on me draining the bowls, as is fire to each spark plug tested only by me sticking a screwdriver in each spark plug wire and touching metal as I turned the engine over, thus seeing a nice spark...the engine just keeps "spinning" as if you are trying to crank an engine with the "kill switch" activated...
Could I have bad spark plugs??? kink in the fuel line supply somewhere??? messed up carbs since I took them off???
Any and all ideas as to remedies and or possible causes as to why the engine will not start is greatly appreicated...

You have spark and fuel..........is it possible that the plug wires are mixed up???

Hate to say it but go back to the basics and do a compression check. If it is good then go quick and dirty and with some ether or fuel to see if it wants to run and just needs fuel. It has been oot of your hands it sounds like and mabye it was parked for a reason.
