Ok, so the clutch issues are resolved. On to the next repair... So after I got the clutch working I rode the bike up to the station for gas. After maybe 5 minutes, it starts pouring smoke out of both exhausts (white smoke btw) smells like burning oil. Anyway, I shut her down, fill er up and ride back home. It's fine all the way until pulling into drive (about 5 mins) then same thing. I let it run and try to look at where it's smoking. 1. Both pipes, 2. bottom of jug (I think), 3. on the pipes underneath the oil pan.

Ok, here we go again... Gasket? I'm just shy of $500 in this bike now. Should I keep going on this? I know I have two other needed repairs now, too. The shocks need at a minimum new oil/seals. One of the calipers is sticking.

I think its worth the effort. I have a guy that I work w/ had one back in '86. He said it was a blast to ride. Plenty of power, easy to flick in and out of corners. It all depends on how much you're willin to sink in to it. You should get your money back out of it. Most sell on fleabay around $1000-2000 depending on the cond. Which gasket is leaking? I had both valve cover gaskets replaced on my bike when I got it and they didn't stop seeping right away. As for the fork seals, thats pretty common.

Was it running OK despite the smoke Reg?

Is there a chance you have a coolant leak into a cylinder? It would smell sweet out the exhaust.

The only time I have seen oil smoke white is when it was an internal leak in a turbo charger. It was while because the temps were soo high, like 1200 deg. The bike at idle isn't that hot so it should be blue.

Then again, looks like shit, smells like shit then it must be shit I suppose. Wish we lived closer, I suddenly have an empty garage and time on my hands.

ok. here's what I'm workin on. A friend suggested that I take my pipes apart and make sure nothing is in them. I have supertrapp exhaust and he said they get stuff in them a lot. Im hoping that's all it is. It runs fine and it only happens when it gets hot. That's what made him think it wasn't a gasket. He said it would smoke right off if it was. Here's hoping. I got some grease to work on the caliper stuff you guys suggested also. I ran out of daylight while messing with the pipes and I dont have a garage so... tomorrow will have to do.
