Hello fellas and gals, I am fairly new to this forum. First post as a matter of fact. I have been playing with an 86 VF500F for a bit now (which I plan to sell soon) but just picked up a relatively clean 85 VF1000F. I am in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Now I am not entirely sure whether the VF1000 was offered in the US in 85, but does anyone know if there were any mechanical differences between the 84 and 85 given the cam issues? As with the 500 I am going to install an oiling kit (from Jamie Dougherty) in the 1000. I have read allot about the cam issues and overheating issues. The other question I have is, has anyone installed slightly larger rads or a cooler antifreeze or additive like "Royal Purple" to help keep things cooler? (Note I have already installed a manual fan switch) Thanks for all your help. Pat
