'83 VF750F Exhaust chamber / collector

Greetings All,

I have an '83 Interceptor with a rotted out exhaust chamber / collector, where the front and rear headers meet before exiting the mufflers. Does anyone have any sources for an aftermarket solution to this or has someone encountered it and solved it before. Honda no longer makes the part and any NOS floating around are EXPENSIVE! Does anyone know if this has baffles or restrictors in it? Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

 

If you do find one to replace it cut the old one in half and post some pictures, it would be good to know whats inside.

 

83 VF750F Exhaust Collector

I have a collector from an 83 if you're interested. It was in good shape when I put a Supertrapp system on.

I also have the OEM mufflers if interested as well. I am in Wisconsin.

If the original poster is not interested in the collector, I am. I am assuming of course the your 83 will fit my 84 vf700f??? Thanks

 

I FINALLY got around to taking pics and sending then to the original inquirer. I'll let you know. I do believe that they will fit a 700.

I also have a nearly perfect tank, original rear shock, and a few other trinkets if you need parts.
