So I finally had the opportunity to pick up my most recent purchase an 83 Knighthawk 650. I kind of enjoyed driving it this evening as it is much lighter than the VFR and is very very easy to ride. I couldn't help but notice how easy it was to throw around. It was definetely lacking in the braking and power compartment compared to the VFR, but it was a nice change. Anyhow, just got back from a 100 mile ride and had to share......

Hey, those bikes are pretty damn cool. I learned how to ride on an '83 CB550/Nighthawk-- the only year they made a 550. I beat that thing up and crashed pretty good on it, and it kept on running, thanks to the salvage yards near my house that had plenty of parts. Gotta love that shaft drive too!

Glad you had a good ride and thanks for sharing the good times! :)
