I bought a VFR 700F2 over the winter and have been working on it off and an the past several months. I took it down to the frame/motor and went through it in detail (carb rebuild, front/rear brake rebuild, changed all fluids, chain/sprocket, tank acid wash/coat) The bike was a little rough cosmetically and each fairing was a different color. I removed the rust, repainted the subframe black. I decided to repaint the fairings a pearl white and eventually opted for some updated graphics. Bike is complete now and runs like a champ. Here are a few pics of the project. Not sure if I like the 93 decals, I may be changing them back to the 86 700 F2 decals.

    Nice work:thumb:
Decals don't look bad, I'm going to try out one of the big wing kits on mine when & if I get it painted yet this spring. The wife keeps finding other places for the money to go:frown:

Thanks for the kind words...I have always been a fan of the older VFRs and think they are incredibly well designed/built. Overall, it ended up being a fun project. This was my first real experience with a "do it yourself" paint job and aside from overcoming a few learning mistakes, it turned out well and was pretty inexpensive.

The bike has a Supertrapp muffler on it and I have been pleased with the performance and sound. You can hear the bike at the link below...
