Ok........ I've seen it said here a few times but I'm trying to find out exactly what is needed to make the 2nd gen 700 a 750. I've seen it said that the 750 just has a longer stroke, so that would mean to me that the bore would be the same. Correct? Probly couldn't find the parts, but I can't get it out of my head.

I would love a needed parts list.

YOU wouldn't even notice the difference.......and it would cost and be lots of work.

Its just a question SM don't think Tex really wants to do it...Do you Tex? I think the parts list goes something like this..... sell VFR700....... take $1800 ..purchase gen 2 VFR750, see... you made a 700 into a 750...

It is the rods's and crank that are different on the 86. 2mm and you really can't notice the difference.

Don't know if I'd really do it, but the 700 makes 76 bhp at 11k while the 750 makes 106 at 10,5k. Hard to imagine you wouldn't notice a 30 hp increase.

And yes, I think I would do it with my second bike since it's a rolling experiment anyway. I wouldn't screw with my clean white one.

I think the 106hp on a stocker has been debunked way long ago, hasn't it?
I think the true number is closer to 80hp.

tex i would think you have an easier time finding a 750 motor and just sticking in the frame. and why u are at it. get the big bore kit for the 750 and take it to 800cc+. just my small 2 cents.

Not in Cali. Takes an arm and a leg to do this.

Didn't know there was a big bore kit, but have never been a fan of them. /only reason I would consider the 750 parts is the integrity of the motor would not be compromised.
