I know it's been done. I have read the thread over at VFRD, but I am unsure on what the "cushion" is that is mentioned. The thread never really talk specifically about it, or if it does, I've missed it. I really need new footpegs on my bike, as the left side is damaged ad the foot peg sags down and forward. Really uncomfortable. I can get the new footpeg brackets for a good price, but what else do I need? Someone mentioned milling a bolt head or a nut down about 8mm or something, so I'd like clarification on that too.

    Thank in advance.

P.S> I know I have posted about this before, but I was curious then, I'm wanting to do this now.

Damn, page isn't loading. No picture, no parts listing.

I guess with BikeBandit, you have to drill down through the categories. What did you click on to get to the link above?

I drilled down to Frame and Footrest, OEM, Step and that gave me a diagram of the rearsets. Are any of the parts listed there or should I be looking somewhere else?

Thanks, so it's not just some small conversion, like I thought it would be. Damn, that part is about $310 new. I'll have to see what the guy selling the rearsets would sell that part for.

Nope, you're unbolting the shock and swing arm, probably adding some spacers, then putting it all back on.

I found my cushion on a craigslist post under Motorcycle Parts. There are several 6th gens being parted on Craigslist currently. Just use www.searchtempest.com and you can quickly go thru all the cities ads.

I'm pretty sure I've seen them on ebay as well. I got it all for about $50.
