I recently bought a 2002 and when im riding, im feeling a slight popping feel as i go over bumps. The feel is mostly in the pegs and i feel it more when i put weight on them. I can also feel it slightly in the handlebars. The feel is consistent like something is loose. I took it into a local motorcycle mechanic (not dealer) and they checked the bearings etc for play. We also checked the steering stem etc. I cannot recreate the feeling just sitting on the bike and bouncing it up and down. He told me to keep riding it until it gets worse. I rebuilt the forks, but still have the same feel. Anyone run into the same issue? I'm getting ready for a log ride and dont want break down. Thanks!

I’d jus start from the rear and yank the wheel off and start checking bolts for looseness.
    Sumthin sound loose
Can’t believe the mechanics didn’t find anything
    Good luck

After 17 years driving buses i needed a change and got a job delivering car spares to local garages. I had no idea you dont need any qualifications to start as a mechanic. Anyone can start working on cars.
I had to do endless training courses and medicals to drive a bus but some of these bozos working on peoples cars is just wrong

    Are you fu*ckin kidding me.
So they have training supposedly for bike mechanics that apparently they don’t use.
And no qualifications for car mechanic what a joke

Just a thought, mine did something similar when the chain was a little too loose.
