I figured I would share this with others since I'm unfortunately in no position to buy this no matter how badly I want to at this moment.

Penske 8987_Series Motorcycle Shock : eBay Motors (item 250584760068 end time Feb-28-10 09:30:04 PST)

Short of the 8970, this is the bad dude from Penske. It is a 3-way adjustable and ready to go. I asked the guy and it has a 1200lb spring on it which I believe is for rider+gear 220lb-240lb (or very close to it, check Penske's site for the correct range on the spring). It was just freshly rebuilt with new fluid and has 0 miles on it since the rebuild making it basically new. Short of the Ohlins, there isn't much better out there.

Hope someone finds a good use for this.

I dont think it is. I regularly see em go for 650 or more. It was just serviced and unless there are a few chips in the paint or scratches from installation and such, it is basically in brand new condition.
