    Hey Guys,

I'm fairly new to VFRs. I have less than 4000km on mine so far (I've had plenty of other bikes before that, both street and track).

I've noticed that the VFR seems to hesitate a lot on part throttle, accelerating lightly in the mid-range. It's not obvious to me that this has anything to do with going back and forth between V-Tec and non V-Tec cam profiles, but the bikes cuts and jerks instead of accelerating cleanly and smoothly.

It seems to demand either being absolutely constant-speed, accelerating with the throttle pinned, or being completely off the throttle. Anything but that and it cuts and jerks to a rather annoying degree.

Is this common and related to the design (V-Tec, engine mapping, electronics, etc.) or could my bike have a problem?

    Thanks for your input.

    Best regards,

The Gen 6 does have a naturally more sensitive throttle and this could be "normal" if the problem is in the mid 5k area as this is where emissions are measured and the Gen 6 leans itself out to match, maybe someone can give more detail about closed and open loop emissions routing.

Unlike the VTec transition this was one area that didn't worry me on my previous Gen 6 so some maybe worse than others.

Some say SV resync will help if they are out and some Gen 6 owners go down the PC3 / O2 eliminator route to dial it out on a Dyno.
