So last night I changed my front sprocket, rear sprocket, and chain to -1 front +2 rear and 520 chain... after the install I took the bike for a ride and it seems like the clutch now lets out at the very top and is very short between full engage and no engage... is this a common problem after the front sprocket install? Or any ideas how to fix this?
I don't know if it is a common problem, but when I took off the clutch slave to do my sprockets, the piston started to pop out of the CS. I noticed this when I started seeing brake fluid dripping. I pushed the piston back into the CS all the way and then reinstalled it and bled the line. It took a little bit of work because I completely drained the fluid as it was pretty bleak looking. I used a Mity-VAc to drain and help refill the line and also installed a speed bleeder while I was at it. The fluid almost looks like that Death Wish Coffee doesn't it?
that does look nasty and I bet it doesn't taste good either... I'm gonna bleed and refresh the clutch fluid when I get home... it hasn't been done in quite sometime.
