I'm thinking I need to have a look at the brakes on my bike. Winters coming and having only owned the bike for six months, now would be a good time to check the brake pads and sliders, etc. In your opinion, what grease is best for protecting the pistons and slider pins from the salty road muck ? I'm leaning towards ceramic grease, yes or no. Anything any better? Let me know.

I wouldn't use any grease on the pistons for obvious reasons.
For the pins (not the ones the pads slide on), any high temp grease will do.

Slider pins should be lubed with silicone grease. These are the most critical parts to keep moving freely with this design of caliper. I would not lube the pad pins but some copper slip on the threaded portion is sensible to stop them seizing.
