I haven't been able to find a Sixth Generation writeup on this. If anyone has a clue for me, it'd be great.

I find that I am often riding at night and would like to see (and be seen) better, so I bit the bullet and ordered a 6000K HID kit from xenonrider.com. Rather than looking myself, I took their word for it and bought an H7 dual bulb kit (H7 kit link). When it arrived, I pulled the bike apart and discovered that H7's only fit our high beams, and that what I needed was an H4 kit (H4 kit link).

The vendor was apologetic and offered to swap the bulbs, but I decided to replace all four and bought an additional H4 kit.

So here's my question: when I fit the H7 bulb into the socket, I am supposed to feed all the wires through the Honda dust cover, and then plug the spade connectors into the H4/7 socket and connect the other leads to the ballasts (buy the small ones!).

But, I can't feed all the wires through without having the dust cover not seal (I know it's not a real seal) properly.

Do I care? Is it better to cut a small hole for the two wires w/spade connectors?
