    Hey there,

Does anyone know the exact size needed for the windshield attachment bolts? Specifically the two that go on under the mirrors that sandwich the windshield between the frame and the front fairing on either side.

Thank you! It looks like it's #15.. #20 is to attach the mirrors from what I can see.

Editing my post, something's up with this parts fiche. I literally had my hands on all this hardware about an hour ago doing some work. I thought it was 93891-05010-07, but that's a short JIS fastener that secures down the instrument cluster panel. I'm going to go pull a mirror of a second VFR to check something...

I think somebody at Honda goofed on this one. I don't think that windshield fastener is on that parts fiche.

    It's a 5x20 (5mm-0.80 thread x 20 mm long) JIS screw.

    OEM.jpg

It's the one on the left in this photo. These screws are all used in that upper cowl area:

It's the same length and thread pitch as the numerous shiny pan screws used to hold down the fairings (90103-MBG-000)

The recess in the fairing is deep enough, in a pinch I think you could use extra fairing bolts (90103-MBG-000) in its place if you have some laying around.

    Interesting

    Just taken mirror off.

    M5 x 20mm with a JIS head.

    Not clear from Fiche.

It's not limited to the fiche you posted. I reference parts fiches for US model VFRs when parts shopping. The item numbering is a bit different than the UK drawing, but the part numbers are the same when you cross reference them. The US fiche doesn't correctly identify the screw either. The only 5X20 screw on the upper cowl parts fiche is 90103-MBG-000, the shiny fairing bolt.
