My 1999 VFR with 33,000 miles shifts without using the clutch. If memory serves, it did at 23,000 when I bought it. I use Honda HP4 oil. Is that normal behavior for this model? I don't like it. I bled the hose and slave cylinder, and there's no bubbles in the fluid and it looks clear. Maybe I need new friction plates and springs, I dunno. What's your clutch experience with this model?

You know, I quit doing this after hearing so many negatives and "don't do thats" on either this site or maybe the "other" one. I'm going to start doing it again after reading that Sport Rider Magazine article. Thanks for the post!
