Guys, since this may attract more 5G brothers let me ask you what saddlebags would you recommend - with an emphasis on ease of setup and removal - what tankbag do you like on the 5G VFR. Has anyone pumped up the horses and what was used and what results were attained. Does anyone have any suspension modification they want to share. How does the Penske shock workout on the bike and which one makes sense to buy if you only go on the track very infrequently. What are the best wearing brake pads you have used. Anyone else got anything?

Moved post here as it seemed more appropriate since these are bike accessories.

As far as Mods go, Power commander with custom map is still my favorite Mod, PC with a custom map did wonders for my bike, all I have as far as performance mods go are Staintunes, K&N and of course the PC...

As far as suspension goes, I just had mine done, it came out to $1100.00 for Penske rear, Race tech gold valves with .95 spring and labor, he said I got him on a slow time and that's why it was so cheap, plus I paid him cash where I didn't have to pay tax. I'm not that mechanically inclined but if you are you could probable to it for around a $1000.00...

As far as the improvement on the suspension goes, it was worth every penny, with the old suspension it was very "bouncy" when I rode hard into a corner, with the new suspension I can now dive into corners like I never had before with just the right amount of feedback, I do a lot of switching with a couple of friends who have a R6 and a GSXR 600. I use to be very jealous of there suspensions, but not so anymore...
