Things are finally moving forward and I am getting close to being able to do the exhaust on my 6th gen. I've already got my 5th gen catless/sensorless headers and will soon be ordering the rest of the pieces. Along with this will be new exhaust gaskets.

This brings up the question of which gaskets I should be using when I install the headers. My assumption is that the crush gaskets for where the headers meet the engine should be for the 6th gen, while the two gaskets for where the rear downpipes connect to the collector should be from the 5th gen. Is this correct or should I be ordering all of my gaskets for the 5th gen? Does it matter?

You will need the 98 or 99 gaskets...trust me, the pipe sizes are different.

    Edit:

Do you have the 6th gen upper header tubes for the rear? If so, none of the gaskets will work. To match it up correctly, you need the 98 or 99 upper tubes as well.

I have the full set of headers/collector including the rear downpipes from a 98-99 VFR, including clamps.

Just wondering what gaskets I should be ordering...a mix of 6th gen and early 5th gen or fully early 5th gen gaskets.

for the down pipes to headers (where the clamps are), you need 98-99 gaskets. 00 and on will not work. As for down pipe to rear head, i think either will work, but don't quote me.
