    Hi Guys,
I ordered a rebuild kit for my 2001 VFR and I found that it was too big. Apparently the parts catalogs point to the 98-99 version.

    I know mine is a 1/2" (12.65mm) version.

Does any one have a confirmed part number for the rebuild kit?

    I've looked up:
    22886-MB0-305 (apparently a 4th gen version)
22886-MAT-E01 (shown for the '01 on fiche)

    Thanks

I'd have to check my order but I bought a kit from Partzilla earlier this year for my 01. Let me see if I can find the order and get the part number.

According to Partzilla, 22886-MB0-305 fits 98 and 99 VFR800 but also 01 VFR800 (and I suspect that is an error).
    22886-MAT-E01 fits 00 and 01 and the 6th gen.

According to the service manual, the 98/99 has a 14mm clutch master, and the 6th gen has 12.7mm, so if you have that diameter master, get the MAT part.

Interesting that the slave pistons for the 98/99 and the 6th gen are the same, so presumably the change was made just to lighten the clutch pull.

Thanks. I tried using the MAT part number with a local dealer and they gave me the wrong one.

Oops, my bad, after looking for the receipts I found that it was my Duc's MC that I rebuilt and the clutch slave of my 01. Sorry about that. Looks like Cadbury got you what you needed though, right?
