I have '94 that I'm pretty sure is leaking from the water pump shaft seal.

I determined this by adding UV dye to the coolant, and the only place coolant leaks from is the weep hole. As best I can tell, the weep hole can only leak coolant that comes from the water pump shaft seal.

What is strange is that it only leaks >24 hours after the bike has been ridden, and it only leaks a few drips, and then leaks nothing more.

My general experience tells me this condition will only last a little while before turning into a full scale leak, and best to repair.

However, it looks like the pump has been discontinued from Honda and the only options are repair the existing pump or take my chances on a used eBay pump.

Another thread states that the shaft seal can be replaced with a commodity part that seems like this one:

However, it is not clear to me the best way to replace the shaft seal and in my various google and YouTube searches I'm only finding pump shaft seal replacements for very different style pumps.

    Any good suggestions for me?

    Thank you.
