    Hi,

I just picked up a '96 and the owner's manual is under the seat, which is why I need to ask this question. The seat cowl is on and I'm not sure how it removes (it's different from my 6th Gen). Rather than having a " why didn't I just ask first before snapping it off " moment I thought I would ask someone who knows the process. I checked the PDF service manual but it doesn't mention it. Thanks for any guidance.

    Bolts

You have to remove the Frankenstein bolts and then it lifts off.

Thanks. I just came in from the garage to delete the post after I figured it out. Shouldn't of stayed out in the garage so late last night going over the new bike; i think the fumes got to me...
