    TEST subjects.

    1. Short's 12 inch ,slip -on
    2. VF750 exhaust (blunder buss looking black ones) Long too.
    3. H-D Dyna exhaust tapered style -slip on 20 inch
    4. Amazon- tapered 16 inch ,HD tapered look alike. Slip on ,16 inch

And the winner is the Amazon.com (best price) 16 inch tapered slip on muffler.
Sounds dignified at idle and gets it on on acceleration but does not have the raspy sound of the 12 inch shorty at
    high rpm.

The VF750 had that VF stock sound (a little too quiet) but it looked like a cartoon. No dignity.
The HD tapered muffler weighed a ton and was so quiet it was like the exhaust was welded shut.
The 12 inch shorty's might be ok in some places (city where there is a lot of background noise).

I live in the country so you can hear things a long way off.

Now I have got to get busy selling the ones that were not acceptable for this bike.

Did you make up your own 4-1 header or were these slipons to the stock 4-2 header?

I made the header myself after studying many designs of v4 engine headers.

    Equal length headers

    Tapered slip on exhaust mufflers.
