Hello, My name is Eric and I ride a 1992 VFR. I really enjoyed the performance of my VFR until it caught on fire. Yes thats right, my reg. rectifier over-heated and melted. It took the rear brake fluid reservoir and as I was riding, another biker told me that I was on fire. Since then I have been learning a great deal more than I wanted to about the random electrical issues that have plagued this bike. My goal is to get this phoenix back on the rode. I have replaced the wiring harness, RR, rear brake line+ res, and I am probably going to replace the alternator. My question is does anyone know which after market stator I should get as the OEM part is like 260.00. I d like to spend around 150. Much thanks for any suggestions. Cheers, Eric

Rick's Electric's has a replacement RR and Stator.

They make nice aftermarket stuff! Dennis Kirk sells their electrics or google them!
