Just wondering if anyone knows of a place where I could get some crash bars or crash mushrooms, whatever you want to call them. I have only found them for the 4th gen.

You dont need them with this bike, if it goes over at zero speed, your gona bust something no matter what. I don't believe in those mushroom things, have seen bikes slide along the tarmac only to hook something with those so called "crash-bars/mushrooms" and then cart wheel end over end. Racing style side covers are good but they dont make them for this bike, some have a piece of titaniuym on the bottom for extra cool sparks. Just dont tip over or crash. My 91 is no stranger to the tarmac and has been ridden home on all three occasions. If you end up doing the thing, dont dream of drilling into that body work! Sheet...I have had my 91 for 21 years, so I am really unfamilar with these bikes. :loco:

You have an Aerostich suit? Since you live in Duluth?

if you dudes are crashing on shrooms maybe it would be a good idea to not ride your bikes.

Never got off on "shrooms" bike hit the deck three times in its history with me. First time was when I just got it. Second was with Dunlop tyres that had 100 miles on them and still were slick as chit, third was riding back from Miami at night through a neighbhood that you should have been strapped in through an intersection. All these were low sides where I had protective chit on, and the bike was rideable home. Tough machine ; )

I dont have an Aerostich suit, but yes i do live in duluth. I bought vfr in 2011 and downed it the following year riding in November on crap tires. I came out of my driveway, turned and the rear slid out. Messed up a lot of my fairings and after looking at my hack job putting it back together i finally decided to get some new skins for her. I will be riding this summer though for sure.
