Hey there fellow 3rd gen riders, here's the deal. My mid fairings have been off since I got this bike 18 months ago (everything that isn't the on the tail or the headlight area) and if my memory serves correctly, it was held together with zip ties before I started working on it. Can one (or more) of you post some pictures showing the procedure for reinstall and telling what hardware is required where? The manuals are not terribly helpful here as the diagram is entirely too busy. Thanks!

I don't think anyone can tell you that easily. The order is important.

If you have a manual it will be easier.

Diagrams can be found at bikebandit.com.

    From memory.

Starting in the front. Assembled top fairing first is slipped on (with difficulty), and secured.

Bottom fairing secured. Rear bottom fairing added around center/side stand.

Now goes the front V fairing, attached to top front and bottom.

And now mount the sides and secure.

Yes, there are special fasteners, dzus locks and small screws involved. Some can be replaced with over the counter, some will take OEM fastneres to be right. Do not tigten anything unto everything is mounted.

Go to bikebandit for details and get a manual. If I was close, I would just ride mine over so you could see.

    Good luck,

    Larry
