I am taking a little three day hiatus next week to norther n CA in the Eureka area. Plan to ride from Florence OR to Eureka CA (day 1, 250 miles), take a loop from Eureka over to whiskey town lake via 36 and back to Eureka via 299 (day 2, 300 + miles) then back home to Florence OR. Any southern OR coast or Eureka area riders interested in joining? As it sits right now it is just going to be, my Ipod and a few full tanks of gas, small chance that a buddy of mine from work might come on his cruiser. Next week 7-8-9, any takers?

And you'll be 2 hours west of me and heading the wrong way.
Enjoy the ride. Nice roads out that way.

Well I finished up the ride a day early to try and beat out a storm front that was coming through but what a great trip. If anyone is ever considering taking a jaunt across CA SR 36 I highly recommend it. Great combinations of technical turns that are unpredictable, long high-speed sweepers and tight twisty sections. Well worth a trip south and I will be going back in the near future.
