So I just bought a SHAD SH25 Topcase off of Ebay for my 2nd Gen. Now I have to come up with a way to mount it to the bike. I have a few ideas for custom fabbing a rear rack that doesnt detract from the look of the bike. Are there any racks that are a universal fit? I saw a post on here where a guy put a GIVI Wingrack on his 2nd gen, Looked like it woud work, but honestly thought it was one of the most god awful looking things Ive seen on a VFR. If I had Givi side bags, that wouldn't be so bad though, but Im going with Pelican bags and already have a hidden custom mount system worked up. Any ideas or links would be greatly appreciated.

    Heres the case I ordered

I'm guessing that would have been my givi wingrack... :)

It 'aint pretty, that's for sure. Especially with the seat cowl on it now. I need to relocate it, but the Givi universal fit kit is a b*tch to work with...

I'm probably going to start fabbing up something a bit more realistic, to better locate the wingrack forward and up a bit. Might paint it to match the bike, too.

    It's definitely... unique. :)

But it got the weight off my shoulders, so I when I commute (and lane-split in traffic), I'm a LOT more comfortable with the givi vs. a backpack.

And hey, post up pics of the custom pelican mounts.
