Hopefully soon I'll be shopping for a Sargent seat but I'm too much of a pansy to decide on a color scheme. Anyone with a 25th wanna lead me to a pic or two. So far I am thinking black piping (boring). Curious what red, white, blue or even yellow would look like.

You gotta do some type of color, JS! Black is cheaper, but I'm thinking the yellow might be very interesting to set off the tank wings.......

Jason, I've been pondering the same thought for some time now. I really would like to do some type of Red and/or White and/or Blue color scheme with an aftermarket seat, but I can't visualize what it would look like. I'd rather see it first on the bike. If you do yellow, be careful as it might overwhelm the wing on the tank.

I know what ya mean with wanting to see it first. Our tri-color bikes are a bit trickier. I don't wanna detract attention from the paint at all. I also don't want everyone to be looking at seat. I think I will just have the piping colored and leave the rest of the seat black. I like the yellow idea BUT need to see it first. I think the Sargent seat on it's own looks really cool and has a more facets to look at. All I need is a pic with anyones Sargent seat on a 25th machine. I will photoshop all the different piping colors and see.

If you can get the yellow to match the wing better than it does in the photo shop, I'd say yellow. But if you want to be more like the guys with pearl white '06s go with red. lol

I have the red on mine and it looks a little orange-ish compared tot he VFR red. It looks the best in my opinion, however.

Torn between the Red and Yellow. Only downside I can see to the yellow is if it gets grime or dirt in the texture.

Sargent has 6 different versions of red, 7 blues and a couple yellows. I think a decent color match could be achieved.

Your right though bj, I can see the yellow getting dirty after some time. I think the red looks ok. The blue is hard to see but that may be good, especially if a close match could be obtained. I wanna be careful not to detract from our cool paint jobs... there kinda busy enough.

Jason, you have a tough decision to make. I like the blue the more I look at it.........plus want show grime over time. I plan on getting a sargent seat later this year or next, so I'm interested to see what you go with.
If I were buying one today, I would probably just go with the black.
Again, keep us posted and good luck!

Yep as of right now it's black. If I can convince myself of a color I will go that way. It is such a great seat, would be nice to show it off to some degree but not at the sake of the bikes paint scheme. I will let ya know where I decide to get one, I may just buy direct. Or maybe by then a group buy may work to save us a few $$. I'm hoping to get one this summer. Or before next riding season.

Yeah if we had a group buy and could save some cash, I may be inclined to buy one now! A very early Birthday and Christmas present.

You can have Sargent send you some color samples of the piping so that you can really see the diferences in color. Call them up and tell them you need some color samples to make a decision. I would recommend getting the samples so that you can truly get an idea of what you're going to get colorwise. The colored piping really isn't all that much color considering the piping is only about 3/16" wide. It won't get dirty either the material is heavy vinyl. I have white and it never gets dirty.

BTW - Why you askin' us? It's your machine, do what you want!

Thanks for the idea Norcal, I'm gonna fire off an email today. When I get em I will post the closest color match #'s for all the 25th'ers out there.

No worries... I will do what "I" want but you guys are my pit crew, have to bounce the ideas.
