The wait is over! 25 Years of V4 Domination! I have officially filled the VFRworld store chock full of a wide variety of items with the new graphic. Just to make everybody happy, I even made two versions of everything - one with a YELLOW 5th Gen, and one with a RED 5th Gen! Now you can choose your poison. You like to wear black shirts? It's there! You like to wear white shirts? It's there! Your choice, it's up to you.

    <a href="http://vfrworld.com/index.php?page=cafepress"><u>Go to the Store Now</u></a>!

    <a href="http://vfrworld.com/index.php?page=cafepress"><img src="http://vfrworld.com/25years.jpg" border="0"></a>

By the way, CafePress is offering free holiday shipping on purchases of $50 or more. If you haven't picked up your 2007 calendar, check it out. Enjoy, my friends!

Tori, darn it, I lost the $5 coupon e-mail. I must have been cleanin my box and overdid it. I was going to use it to order the t-shirt just now. It would have offset the shipping. Hey, is Brian getting one? If we get a few then we won't have any shipping charges, right?

Sure enough, Cafepress is having issues. Here's an email I just received from them. Apologies for the downtime, hopefully they will restore service soon.

    From:"CafePress.com"
    To:michael@vfrworld.com
    Subject:CafePress service interruptions
    Date:Thursday, December 21, 2006 3:01:10 PM

    Hello Shopkeepers,

As you may have read on the CafePress Community Forum, we're experiencing a
targeted Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack, which is causing
significant service interruptions. As of right now some customers have access
that appears normal, some have intermittent access, and some have no access at
all. We will continue to update the CafePress Community Forum
(http://forums.cafepress.com/eve) as we have more to share, and we urge you to
check there for the most recent information.

A DDoS attack prevents access to a web site by its users. You can compare this
to 500 people trying to enter a retail store through the same door at the exact
same moment. This congestion prevents consistent and easy flow of traffic to the
site. There has not been a breach of information.

A DDoS attack is a computer crime and violates Internet proper use policy as
dictated by the Internet Architecture Board, and we are now working with the
proper authorities. For this reason we are not able to share any additional details at this time.

More information about DDoS attacks can be found easily online with a quick
    Google or Wikipedia search.

We do consider this an attack on CafePress, but we're most disturbed at how this
victimizes our community of Shopkeepers. If you have specific questions please
contact cphelp@cafepress.com and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your continued understanding,

    Jill Ambrose
    Chief Marketing Officer

thanks. my wife says it's crrepy and that I look like a criminal. guess she was right cause I got stopped while walking in missouri by the police. he rolled up next to me and said 'you ain't from around her are ya?'

    'nope', says I.

    "watchin doin?" says he.

    'walkin', says I.

"Where you from?" he continues in his semi-polite 'what the f%^& are you doin in my town litany' <-- my words not his, but you get my drift. At this point, I had to make a decision. Do I want to continue in this way and see just how irritating I can be to him for his profiling, or do I just give in and give him the smalltalk BS he needs so he'll go on his merry way. After a few seconds, I caved and started giving longer answers until he was sufficiently satisfied I wasn't casing the neighborhood for a plump house with nice Christmas presents to take, and he rolled on.

Anyhoo, since we were originally talking about the shirts (I think). Has anyone actually received one yet? I got my calendar and it looks great. We hadn't bought a new one yet so it arrived just in time to start writing important stuff on it. I haven't ordered the shirt yet, but I think I'm going with the black shirt with red 5th gen (since that's what I ride).

p.s. I shaved both face and head so I'm back to my normal semi-law abiding look.

    Received my shirts (2) today.

As I am in the UK I had to pay an additional £8.40 for customs fees..

Got home from collecting them from the post office, eagerly ripped the package open and...

gotta say I'm disappointed in them :frown:

The pic is pretty small, but worse than that the quality of the screen printing is very poor, the picture is quite indistinct and areas of it are just a blur .

You cannot really make out the VFR badges on the bikes.

The whole text " 25 years of V4 Domination" is almost printed white on white, and this is on blue and green t-shirts. The WWW.VFRWORLD.COM is just a big smudged block.

Both shirts are the same so I don't think I have poor ones.

I'd definately not have bought them if I had seen them in the flesh.

I hate to hear that! I haven't ordered one yet, and I may not after this report. Michael will definitely hear of this. After the calandars being nice, I expected they'd be pretty nice. That is a shame. Have you contacted them about the quality to see if you can get a better replacement or a refund?

I got a sweatshirt and a T-shirt, quality was very poor, but I read were the quality wasn't top notch before the wife got them for me as a Christmas present. I figured since I average about 30-45 minutes a day on this site and it helps support VFRworld, it was worth it to me, but I hope the quality is better next time, just my $.02

wasn't me, it was rogue and RW that bought them. I was gonna get one, but I think I'll hold off until the quality issue is resolved... The calendar is really nice. Very professional. It looks as good as any other calendar I've had.

Oh man, I was afraid of them not coming out well, due to the fact that the photos were small. Any chance someone could take a digital photo of how they came out (close up) and send it to me?

Cafepress offers a full refund within 30 days (minus shipping charges, unfortunately). You can find information on how to return them on the Cafepress website. http://www.cafepress.com/ Does it seem like it's the actual graphic, or does it seem like Cafepress just did a poor job printing them?

If someone can send me some photos, I can see if there's anything I can do to fix future ones.

Ouch.. sorry to hear this had a feeling thatmight happen due in part there's alot of fine detail that will be hard to reproduce Hmmm 10-4 on the calender its a big hit well done IMO
Still think a poster would be a better route. I was waiting to see RWs before I made up my mind as I'm into our local PNW shirts too.

Courtesy of vman, here's how the design looks on a white background. The colors could be more vibrant, but it looks like the detail came out ok (IMO). If someone would be kind enough to photograph the black, I'd like to see how that turned out. Mine is on order but hasn't arrived yet. Thanks vman!

    Here's the crappy ones then..

The picture above looks far ,far better than those I received, probably due to the colours ..[IMG]

No comparison really, look how the vfrworld.com logo is completely blurred.

Vinnie's shirt came out great, must be because of his Kentucky connections  now I'm thinking some of us must have got a bad batch, I received a black T-shirt and a white hooded sweatshirt, it looks nothin like Vinn's and more like Rogue's...

I temporarily discontinued those items in the store until I can figure out if Cafepress just has shoddy printing or if there is a problem with my graphic. If you ordered one and you are not satisfied with the quality, Cafepress offers a money-back guarantee. I apologize if you got one that has questionable quality, that was certainly not my intention.

Once I figure out why they came out so bad, I will (hopefully) fix the problem and then open that part of the store up again. But, it's very possible that having 6 bikes lined up in a row is just too much detail for it to come out well on a T-Shirt, so we'll see.
