This new couch on wheels looks amazing - makes my VFR look like a folding chair in comparison! :D

How about a Gold Wing lite, weights 400 pounds?
Cuz, an 800 pound motorcycle is 1 heavy ass mofo.
Needs to carry another 400+ pounds of riders and gear.
    Not gonna happen you say?
Then I give you the fish slapping dance. :Fish:

not really a Goldwing fan but it looks a lot smaller or is that my imagination?,if I ever had the money I could be tempted I reckon but as I will be on the state pension next April it won't happen barring a lottery win!

Oh absolutely! Multiple Bike Disease..There is no hope.. lol -- How many is enuff? n + 1... I've had as many as 5, for the moment I'm at 2, contemplating going to 3, or even 4.

Its been awhile that bike lust has hit me this hard, but that Silver GW standard has got my attention.

Set a glass of water on a Goldwing gas tank, there is no vibration on the surface of the water. That 6 is sooooo smooth.

The video says they knocked 90 lbs off it. Does that bring it down to 1/2 ton?

Call me picky, but I got this thing that bikes really ought to weigh less than 700 lbs. I try to keep mine under 600. That way a normal person like me (that's right, I'm normal! ) with bad knees and a bad back can still push it around the garage and pick it up if I drop it.

That said, it sure looks nice and nimble. I'll try a 2018 model in about 10 years when I might be able to afford it :D .

Do the smileys make it sound less negative?

    Picky

Get one in yellow. Two wheeled school bus. It's probably comfortable though, however they reduced storage and fuel on it.

Couple of summers ago I bumped into a 76 year old guy who made me look like the terminator who was riding a goldwing. Could not believe how well he rode that behemoth at walking speeds in a poorly surfaced car park.
Personally, I think you are as well getting a trike or convertible as one of these.

You would be surprised how well these huge bikes handle. If you want to squid it up they do huge burn outs and you can wheelie them to.

At the moment I prefer small spot tourers; however, I could absolutely see owning one of these.--maybe after I wear out the VFR. I believe Honda will sell a ton of these.
