Spy pix? You gotta be kidding. The dude's costume is a dead giveaway except maybe in France or at the circus.
Yea it's a spy shot, I spy with my little eye............ when one needs to be off site and use a 5000mm telephoto. LOL, not that's this is the case here, but more my take it was pre being seen as this was on a closed course. still wheres the wsb V4 at? seeing this doesn't make me think it's in the pipe, as usual Honda.
According to a reddit thread, this was a "controlled leak" sort of hype-bulding press release at a track called Grobnik in Croatia. Also according to that thread, this is the only bike of three projects (including a next-gen RFV1000 V4 superbike, and a more road-friendly version of the RC213V-S) that has been given the go-ahead to make a production demo.
"spy photos" are almost always a purposed leak. The new Blade will be an inline 4 with apx 180 rwhp and new electronics. A RVF is still a pipe dream. Fuck!
CBRs are great bikes. But they're good for only one thing. They go fast. I have a really nice 929. I'd rather ride the Super Duke or the Interceptor. Good looking bike, tho. I assume the muffler has a big ol cat in it.
A 5000mm lens would be easier to spot than the bike.. and probably weigh more unless the feds are involved and are watching us from the outer limits...
A video, that only shows a tire... http://www.sportrider.com/video-honda-teases-2017-cbr1000rr?src=SOC&dom=fb
Well here you go..... inline 4 with electronics, bump in HP and Ohlns/ Brembo bras and suspension on the SP. Forget about the SP2, not many of that going to be offered to the public. V4 in another decade?!!!!! http://www.motorcycle.com/manufacturer/honda/2017-honda-cbr1000rr-sp-and-sp2-unveiling.html
It's on Honda's USA website now too: http://powersports.honda.com/2017/cbr1000rr.aspx On the first pic it says in small print that the "estimated MSRP" is under $20,000 for the SP and under $25,000 for the SP2. The color of those wheels are sort of similar to the 8th gen, no?
Holy shit - for a fugly looking exhaust that thing sounded awesome! And it looks way better in video than it does in pics if that makes any sense - lol. I loved the slide control and wheelie control demonstrations.
