    Hi There,
Today I met someone who used to work for a Honda dealer as a technician, and he mentioned that the 2008 is the last VFR in production along with the 600cc Shadow.
Has anyone heard of this (rumor)?

2007 was the last year for the VLX.

I have not heard this but I can ask around. I am sure the local stealership will help kind of confirm that one.

I work with people at Honda and they told me if I wanted a VFR I should go and get one now, so I did. Honda is giving up I think.

I hope the VFR re-invents itself for 2009,but my gut feeling is that Honda won't invest the dough on a low volume bike, and the bean counters down in Japan would rather just let her fade away.

I'm pretty sure this rumor comes out every year. I think the VFR is still fairly popular in Europe and since they don't update it anyway, it probably doesn't cost them much to do a short run and sell a few over there... It's not like they are reinventing anything...

I agree with REG. If the VFR is cancelled completely, there will be plenty of pissed off Brits & Europeans. The VFR is one of the top selling bikes in Britain & has been for a long time. It is also quite popular in Europe due to the way European insurance works.

I would still like Honda to get off their fat lazy corporate ass & give us a new VFR but I sincerely doubt I'll see one any time soon.

    KC-10 FE out...

doesn't this rumor come up every year? I agree with reg & kc with out the European sales vfr would be dead. they need to scrap the vtec and i think sales would increase and a slight update to body style as well
