    Hey all!

Having a problem with my 6th gen starting. I rode it last week and didn't have an issue at all but when I went to start it yesterday nothing happened. I checked the battery and it's good. I hear the fuel pump prime and another relay click but when I press the starter button the headlight extinguishes but the starter doesn't even try to turn over. Anyone else have this problem? What seemed to be the fix?

    Thanks!!!

I would check the cable connection to the starter at the relay first, it sounds like it is ready up to that point.

    +1 to what Toe said.
I would check the basic battery connections and main grounds too. Something may have come loose. Kind of an indicator when it won't even click under load. Headlights are, I believe, supposed to go out when you try to crank it. Fuel pump won't run when the kill switch is engaged. I'm guessing you have checked the obvious like the bike being in neutral, and that the kickstand interlock is working properly.

If that is the original battery it is 6 years old. Don't just do a voltage test, it probably needs a load test.
