i have been looking at a 2003 with 3900k,great shape with lasers, power commander, helis, corbin seat for $5400,but today i came across a 2007 rwb at a dealer and they offered it to me for $6999.now i can't make up my mind.i LOVE the rwb,but the 2003 is sharp also.p.s.the rwb has 700 miles on it,and no warranty left.don't know why the previous owner returned the bike.he only put 700 miles on it in one year

I'd go with the 2003. It has all the goodies. The RWB seems a little high to me, being used. Don't get me wrong I have the RWB, but I believe you can get a better price for it somewhere else.

That's the price of a new RWB with zero miles right out of the crate with a full warranty. Go for the 2003 unless they lower the price and throw in the full warranty without lowering the asking price. Gotta love dem RWB's!!! :thumb:

The RWB's would be cool, if they didn't screw up the look by putting that red and blue on it. :)

Go for the new RWB.....you can find them for about $7500 brand new with a warranty. Finance thru Honda at 1.99 percent....that is cheap money! Finance $5000 and your payments are under $150 for 3 years.

If you can get a better price on the RWB go for it. Half the fun of owning a bike is drinking beer in the garage while installing your new exhaust, heli bars, pciii, ect. If anything ever happens to my '04 I want to replace it with a stock bike so I can start the fun all over again!!!:cheersaf:

The RWB is used and I agree the price is high since you can buy a new RWB for that price or just a little more. I'd go that route if you can afford it.

Keep in mind that ABS option will add a little. Make sure you aren't comparing apples and oranges.

If you like it, don't let it get away over a couple hundred bucks.

Check the local dealers in your area. I bought the one listed in one of those eBay adds from Shawnee Honda Motorsports on May 8th. Although they said they had another one still in the create. Sunrise Honda in Searcy Arkansas has 4 I believe. All of them new with Zero miles on them. I found several in California still new. Besides you can always have it shipped back to you. If it's brand new your going to know what your getting anyway.

I have to agree with Flash1034, I smile every time I look at my bike too.

Not trying to hijack a thread here; on the contrary this is *just* what I was looking for.

So do you think a *non* ABS new 2007 RWB is worth 7k + $700 Dealer prep...or should I ask for a cheaper price?

$700 for dealer prep is a scam! That's just their way of trying to get more profit on the bike. I'm sure their want to tack on "destination" charges as well. I'd go for a lower price and make sure they include the tool kit, owners manual, grab handles and the little plastic covers too. I had a dealer try to tell me none of those things (except the manual) came with the bike. After I laughed in his face he asked another salesperson who confirmed he was full of :bs:.

    1) Norrin Radd FTW! Sorry I used to manage a comic book store.

    2) This place has given me so-so vibes for the most part. They sounded very genuine over the phone and originally gave me a price of $725 for Dealer Prep, etc. (sorry I wasn't clear - that does incude the desitnation but not the documentation or tax if applicable.) They told me to shop that price around; as you well know that price is everywhere. They have an EBay store and they've changed the Prep charge *twice* on that - two days ago it was $500 & then after I called them it went to $695.

    Here's the link for reference:

Honda: eBay Motors (item 400122440870 end time May-21-10 18:44:00 PDT)

I had planed on asking for a better deal if for no other reason because of the Freight/Prep difference.

revengel - did you try that link posted above by vfrcapn for the guys in Cherry Hill, NJ?

Honda : Interceptor: eBay Motors (item 290432551920 end time May-15-10 20:46:51 PDT)

I'm not saying good or bad about the guys there as I've never dealt with them, but maybe you can work the two off of each other.

If you're in Washington DC, you're probably within 2 hours or so of Cherry Hill.

Oh, I'm all over the Cherry Hill guys - actually I could take a train up there & ride back! That's actaully the first one that I found online before I came across the Baltimore page.

I'll admit I don't want to be a jerk to anyone - especially the dealer. However they've changed pricing info on me a few times in the past 9 days.

I like the bike...but I don't *need* the bike. Still a VFR is all I'll ride...

Well, like I said, mine was $7,500.00 and I bought it on May 8th. I checked around and that's about the going price for a "new" zero mile 2007 RWB interceptor. My price was the $6995.00 + dest & dealer prep to = $7,500.00. I think what you have to consider is how close it is to you as well. I know of at least 4 around here, 1 in Oklahoma and 3 in Arkansas. So even if you found a new one for $500.00 cheaper, it would probably cost you more than that to get it home.

Used ones seem to be going for so close to the new ones in my opinion it's worth getting the new one.
