2004 VFR800 Headlight Not Working

Hey Everyone! I am sure this has happened before, and there are other posts on this issue. On my 04 VFR800 a few weeks ago the headlights would come on when you turn the key on, then once the bike started they wouldn't come back on. A few times they would come on after approx. 1-minute. Then they where working great, then again last night the same issue came back. Then this morning, no headlights at all! Even when you power the key on, so at this time no headlights at all low & high beam. I inspect all the basics, bulbs, connections. Does anyone have any ideas or possibly had the same issues?

 

The headlight circuit is deliberately disconnected by the starter button when you push it (presumably so the starter has more amps available), so I would start to look in there, maybe start with a disassembly and clean. Get some electrical contact cleaner spray, and dielectric grease to lube the parts.
