2000 VFR800 FAIRINGS- Trying to find some aftermarket fairings. Help please!

Crashed my 2000 VFR800 last year and all my front fairings got trashed. i have been looking online to find a set of black fairings for a reasonable price. they all seem to cost around $500. replacement fairings from honda are $450 per piece, and i cant afford that. does anybody know of someone who bought a fairing kit? i dont want to spend the money on a set that dosent even fit properly. can anybody help me?

 

The common complaint is that the fairing kits from China are not the same quality as the OEM Honda. I say, at the price it isn't much of an issue. You have to re-drill some holes and stuff won't line up perfectly without a lot of elbow grease.

Seems to me that if you have money, buy Honda OEM. If you want to cover the bike and not spend a ton of cash, buy the Chinese fairings off ebay. Read closely though. Some are a little more and claim to be from better molds and made of ABS, not plastic.

This one is a pretty good price. Under $400 with shipping.

If you do go that route, once you have fitted them can you add feedback (positive/negative) to the thread - so we know which suppliers are worth buying/avoiding.
