Hello fellow Viffer owners my name is Jerry and I have a 2000 Interceptor in mint condition. I love my VFR. There is no ride like it. Just enjoying the extended riding season this year in NJ..

I have a question. I went out today to start the bike after not riding it for about a month and it doesn't seem to want to start. The battery is at 13.65 volts and goes down to 12.45 volts when I try to start her. She just doesn't want to kick over. The kick stand is up and the bike is in neutral. Does anyone have any suggestions and what I should try to do and or check?

If it's cranking but not firing, that leads me to believe that it's a fuel or spark issue.

Step 1. Does the fuel pump whine when you turn the key? Turn on the key & move the kill switch to off. Turn it back on & you should hear the fuel pump priming the injection system. If it doesn't, check the fuses. If it does, you filter might be clogged.

Step 2. Does it combust at all? Any smoke of any color coming out of the pipe?

    Step 3. Check your plugs.

Keep us posted on your progress.

    Where in NJ?
