thinking of selling my 86 vfr 700. i vowed not 2 for years. got it in 1996. rode the u know what out of it for 5-6 years before any problems. bike has sat for approx. 2 years due to fuel tank rusting out. know have tank and both stator and voltage reg. take a dump. find those parts fix it now brakes locking up, leak in clutch slave cyl. on and on and on!!!! i love this bike just dont have the money to keep fixin it and sitting for more time will only bring on more things to fix. dont know what to do!:frown:
I'm kinda in the same boat as you, Its kinda your call. If you want to put more money into it, know that you are more then likely not going to get it back. I throw my bike on craigslist, and figure, if someone buys it, it was ment to be. Regardless i'm buying a CBR/GSXR/636 Ninja next spring. So if I do keep the bike, i'm going to strip it and make it a couple of years project. When stuff comes along cheap, i'll jump on it. But I do just wish someone wants a 85 VF500F.
