1st gen performance upgrades

    does anyone know of any performance upgrades for the first gens. i have an 84 vf700 and would like a little more from it without boring out the engine.

    Has it been Jetted, slip on & hi-flow air filter? Prety much the basics but hadda ask.

    I am kind of new to these bikes, but I would say just the basics
    aftermarket exhaust (vance&hines,yoshi,etc.)
    aftermarket airfilter (uni, k&n,etc.)
    then rejet the carbs
    New o-ring chain and sprockets (possibly change ratios depending on if you want topspeed or acceleration)

    If the bike has all older parts then you could do some things to regain lost power such as....
    change plugs and wires
    clean stock air filter
    clean+lube sprockets and chain

    I am not sure if there is an ignition upgrade or not for these bikes, but if so that would be an option also.
