Ok, I admit that I have some hooligan traits when it comes to riding, after all I do ride a mighty Kawasaki ZRX1200R, as well as a VFR. But when today dawned so pretty, I thought I woud ride the VFR to work. So far, I'd confined my rides to back roads, so really, no points of reference. I knew the VFR was fast (enough) but dang, it's really sneaky fast. Just accelerating away from a light this morning, going "smartly" through the gears, I look down and I'm going 100mph! On my way home for lunch, I ease through some traffic, flick the throttle a little.....again 100mph. Is it the smoothness of this thing that's fooling me? I'm going to have to restrain myself somewhat, or I'm going to lose my DL! I actually changed bikes at lunch, and I have a much better sense of speed on the ZRX. Probably the riding position has something to do with it as well. I will say that the VFR is rivaling the ZRX as my favorite.....and I've put 32,000 miles on it(ZRX), the VFR just now approaching 350 - 400 miles since I got it. I may just have to sell the ZRX to my son after all.........maybe..........can't quite go there yet, but I'm liking this VFR a lot!!!!!!
Apparently there is something wrong with your VFR. Its never been know for people to fall in love with her, leave their spouses, sell all other bikes, and spend college tuition on upgrades. PM me and I will offer you a fair price to take it off your hands. Enjoy!
