Hi everyone - the bike is now live for auction on ICONIC - about 80 pictures on the auction

I honestly should part it out, but maybe the right 5th gen enthusiast will appreciate it! This is the ultimate 5th gen!!!! Bulletproof 5th gen

I'm selling my bikes as I'm not going to be able to ride on the street anymore. This time last year I was in the ICU after being hit head on, while riding my dad's 01, THAT was also an amazing 5th gen, Ohlins rear, ohlins cartridges, Full Titanium Two brothers system, etc. I know I'm going to regret it, and it's very difficult letting it go, and letting go of street riding, but it's what I have to do for my own still on going recovery, and paying medical bills. That one instance broke my back, pelvis, both wrists, ribs, and tearing all the ligaments off my right knee.
Thank all of you for your kindness, and compliments. I'm happy to be a resource to any of you looking to improve and maintain your VFR! What a machine

Thanks so much Sixdog! This is great feedback and I'm hoping for a similar result. Though I'm now wondering if I did enough to outline all the bulletproofing I did to this bike, it's fully sorted.
I'm glad i'm still here, and I'll be keeping a few bikes for track only riding, where I guess I'll conduct my regular riding from here forward.
Here is a picture of my dads poor 5th gen. Such a shame because it looked just as good as mine. But it wasn't as highly modified.

Glad you survived. There's still half of a good bike there (Dad's bike)
Yours is very nice, someone will be happy.

Is the current $2200 bid getting close to your reserve price? Auctions are interesting, especially when the item is somewhat rare, which your build is, it's an exceptional bike. I think timing has a lot to do with pricing, spring and early summer prices on bikes are always better. I'll be watching your auction later today. When I'm interested in something, I never show my hand until the last minute or two of the auction. It is exciting. If I was wealthy, I would buy your bike just because they are becoming rare. That's a lot of bike for the money.....good luck.

Evidently not. He got a $5,100 bid and it says reserve was still not met.

Interesting. Even though that's a terrific bike, that's also a heathy bid? How close was the $5100 bid?
