    Hey everyone,
This is my introduction, not a great writer, currently active duty Marine Corps, and proud owner of a 1998 vfr800, well, most of it (will attach pictures) plastics are all screwed up, but I have plans *muahahaha* going to be my daily driver/ streetfighter project, this is my 2nd bike, first was a 1982 zuki 1100, it was a beast/ cafe racer-ish, but anyways, lots of questions to come, lots of brains to pick, so in advance, thank you all for the help! 20140923_183231.jpg

Thank you so much, she's going to be a frankenbike, she's ugly as all heck, but I love her, and love making her my own, I'm on a tight budget, recently married and baby on the way, making less then the highschool kid flipping burgers lol, bought the bike for $500, insured for a year $150, tags, ect $100, so I have a fully registered bike for$750 with only 15k miles, well almost 17k now, but I've had it for about a month. So questions have already started, thank you for the support!

Interestingly, that's exactly what most people say about Scubalong. But I digress.

Welcome aboard and good luck with gettin her road worthy again. Ask all you need. Despite the ball busting that goes on here, there are many educated people. And some not so much...

Welcome to the WORLD and good luck with the project. May I offer up the following two links as inspiration for your street fighter project.

    http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/index.php/topic/78619-my-naked-vfr-project/

    http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/index.php/topic/75243-my-95-vfr-sf-project-the-process/

The second link is a street fighter project on a 4th gen as opposed to a 5th gen but there may be some information as to headlight, turn signal, and gauge clusters that you may find helpful.
