Replaced battery, rode it for about 20 miles. Stopped for a few minutes. Turned the key to start, the electrical came on for a sec or two then it was lights out. No life. Replaced Rectifier and checked battery. Checked all of the fuses I could find. All good. Any ideas before taking it in the shop? Maybe the heat sink unit, which I assume is the small unit on the right side just in front of the battery marked with a "T2" on the top. Thanks.

Check the ground buss on the left side. But most likely the pink connector on the starter relay also located near the battery.

Photo of wire harness attached. The pink connector plugs into the starter relay and carries all the current for the electrical system. It corrodes, poor connection increases heat and it melts.

Same with the orange ground buss but in that case, it's usually component failure and not everything all at once.

Okay we'll try this again. These pics are of my 6th gen. Rick but they apply to your 5th gen. as well.

There are two 30 amp main power fuses Main A fuse (Yellow arrow) and Main B fuse (Green arrow).

Main A fuse is hidden under the Re......er......Pink,I meant to say Pink cover. :heh:

Did you check the Main A fuse on the starter relay?
