1998 honda shop manual compatability

Hi everyone: I'm new to the forum . I just purchased my first vfr ( a 2000 with a 2 bros cf slip on, tank bag, Phillips/Lockhart bra, new tires . battery, & givi shield). It's in pristine condition with only 14,000 Mi. on her. Been looking for a clean example of a 2000 or 2001 for the better part of three years. (I think I got a good deal, paying $4000 American ) My question is: I've found a 1998 honda shop manual for $32 delivered. (used) I believe it should have almost everything I need except for the improvements made to the 2000 & 2001 models. Any thoughts or suggestions? Can't wait for the weather to break here in Southern N.Y. Ride safe, Dave Nichols

 

I believe my manual says 98-01. The only things different I can think of is the 98-99 didnt have O2 sensors and they have a manual start up choke.
