This is my first post. Been riding a 81 Goldwing GL1100I back n forth to work...want something as little more fun. I am in the market to buy a VFR750 motorcycle in the next 30 days. Looking for a 94-97 model. I enjoyed them in the past and found a few for sale locally. I came across #2 1997 bikes locally. One had 12,XXX miles and the other had just 18,000 miles, both were clean as heck, both red. Bike #1 says VFR750R just below the seat towards the right rear and the other says VFR750F. The one marked VFR750R has more marking on the fairing like V4 n stuff like that as the 750F is pretty plain with decals. Is there a difference? They the same bike? Thanks

    Welcome Nobody.
If they are both '97 bikes then the one with 'VFR750R' and other things has just had some stickers added by the current or previous owner. A real VFR750R is a completely different bike made from '87-'93, otherwise known as an RC30, Google it or check out my avatar, I own one of each.
VFR750R's were only imported to the US as 1990 models afaik, VFR750F's were in various guises from '86 to '97 with the '4th Generation' from 94 to 97 all being the same.
