I am putting my newly acquired 1995 back to the stock carb settings and was wondering if anyone could tell me the number of turns out on the pilot screw?

if the bike seems weak and if it surges at small throttle openings, you can open up the screws sup to about 2 1/2 turns to improve running. actually setting the screws according to factory #s will not usually give best running on the street.

generally, pilot screw recommended settings are too lean (so the emissions will be low enough to pass strict EPA tests) but not best for performance.

you will need a D-shaped special wrench to adjust mixture screws on a '95.
