    PROCE DROPPED to $1000.

Priorities change...My dad passed away last week and I want to buy a Sunbeam Alpine like he raced in the 60s.

I'm afraid I have to make one of the most gut-wrenching decisions I've had to make in a long time. I'm putting my beloved 1994 VFR up for adoption. That is what it feels like because I currently can't provide her the home she deserves.

She has been an absolute dream and reliable to a fault. Any issues she has are my fault alone. Here are the details.

I bought her in 2004 and am her 3rd owner. The odometer rolled to 80,000 miles on the test ride. She currently has 89,272 miles, so less than 10k miles in 15-years.

She is in good overall shape, fires up and runs superbly but she has some issues that need to be addressed, mostly simple.

    1. Battery is dead (I jump started her for the video).

    2. Needs a new chain and sprocket.

    3. Forks leak / needs new seals/rebuild.

    4. Clutch does not work, I believe I've isolated it to the slave cylinder.

    5. Just yesterday, the pivot pin that holds the right mirror on snapped (and was my indicator that she needs a new loving home).

    6. There are some scuffs / cracks on the body work, including around the rubber grommet of the tail section.

    7. Missing the majority of the tool kit, long ugly story.

    The good news.

    1. She absolutely starts and runs well, every time (when the battery isn't dead).

    2. Newly installed Delkevic high mount pipe sounds and looks SPECTACULAR!

    3. Original solo cowl

    4. Original passenger grips plus one extra

    5. K&N air filter.

    6.RR replaced

    7. Original Owners manual

    8. Good tires

I truly love her, SO many good memories but I have to get her fixed, my body is aching, AND I am trying to fund my Sunbeam Alpine.

SO...If you are willing to give her a good home, and love her, she can be yours for $1000.
